In my last post I talked about old-fashioned garden techniques worth doing, but even to me it sounded like a lot of work, especially in the heat of summer. In this post, I want to outline the ways to make those old-fashioned techniques easier because those techniques do have lasting value. Tips to make Hand Tilling Easier 1. Time it with moisture (not mud). Hand tilling is so  much easier when the soil is slightly damp. Too dry → rock-hard and exhausting Too wet → sticky and
